CALLING ALL CUDAS: It’s time to gear up for
the annual 2010 Swim-A-Thon. Participation of all team members
is expected.
Starting in February, participants will receive
information and pledge packets with instructions that will enable
you to approach businesses, friends and family to pledge to your
Swim-A-Thon effort. On April 13, 2010 the actual Swim-A-Thon will
be held starting at 5pm at both pools. All swimmers will
participate at their home pool location, at which time,
participants will then proceed to collect their pledges. More
detailed information will be available soon.
Terrific prizes will be awarded to the top ten
overall fundraisers (prizes to be determined). There will be a
deadline for collections for which will determine the top ten
finishers.
Parents from each individual team group within
the Cuda swim team (Developmental, Red, White, etc.), are needed to
be team leaders to guide and oversee the groups from pledging
through collection throughout the Swim-A-Thon process. This will
insure all swimmers are properly informed. We will need at least
one parent from each team as team leaders. We would also encourage
two or more parents get together to share the leader role if it
makes it easier to be available when needed.
Each
team coach will provide guidance to each parent leader as needed.
You will have to be available to attend periodic group meetings
which will be essential to get the information back to team groups.
Interested parents should go to the Cuda Event Swim-A-Thon sign up
and click on “Job Sign Up”. You will be eligible to
fulfill yourrequiredvolunteer hours with your
time on this event.
On
Swim-A-Thon day, you will have to be present to assist the coaches
in organizing and completing a great finish to the 2010 Cuda
Swim-A-Thon.
