Hi my name is Paul
Bunge. I have been swimming competitively since the age of
8. From the time I was 8 until I was 18, I swam for the
Broomfield Barracudas. From there I participated in
All-Stars, Zones, and Sectionals. During my high school
carrer at Broomfield, I was the state runner-up in the 100
Butterfly. I was also voted swimmer of my conference, and the
2006 Swimmer of the Year for 4a, my senior year. From there,
I recieved offers from West Chester University, but ultimately
accepted a scholarship to swim at Metro State. I swam one
year for them and I am currently finishing up my last semester to
becoming an Elementary School Teacher. I am currently the
head coach for the Legacy High School Boys Swim and Dive Team and I
look to continue coaching there and finding a job teaching in
Colorado. My favorite stroke is butterfly, but I was an
I.M.'er both in high school and college.

the team saw an increase in strength and core stability immediately

developed new exercises, training equipment and training methods
that develop PF3 (power factor 3), core strengthening and increased
VO2 MAX (volume of oxygen taken in and utilized while
exercising). Chuck's philosophy is to provide a training
program that strengthens and develops the athlete safely, reduces
injury and helps rehabilitate the athlete to get them back in the
sport as soon as possible.

Chad White
Assistant Coach
Email
Chad has been a coach for about 15 years, and is returning with
his oldest son Kyle. He is a certified Level 1 American Swim
Coaches Association coach, and has coached kids ages five to
eighteen. Through his leadership, the kids not only learn correct
stroke technique, but also develop a lasting love for the
sport.
Coach Chad wants swimming to be fun and rewarding. We would like
to see young swimmers take up the sport and keep at it throughout
high school and beyond. While encouraging hard work, we want to
avoid the burnout caused by an over emphasis on arduous workouts or
a single-minded focus on winning. Swim smart! Swim fast!
A skilled swimmer seems
to move effortlessly through the water. Coaches describing elite
level swimmers speak of their "feel for the water". Swimming fast
is 70% the result of proper technique and 30% the result of fitness
and conditioning. Chad places great emphasis on the development of
proper swim technique. Especially with the young swimmers,
practices incorporate technique drills and training. Grinding out
yardage is meaningless without proper technique. Young swimmers
with proper strokes, starts, and turns will have plenty of time to
put in the hours and yards later if they want to reach elite levels
of competition in high school and college.
My favorite swimmers are Mary T. Meagher, Steve Lundquist, Matt
Biondi, and Tom Jager. My favorite athlete was Lance Armstrong, and
my favorite Triathletes are Dave Scott, Mark Allen and Scott
Tinley.
In my free time I enjoy camping, boating and anything with my
family. I have two kids, Ethan age 6, Kyle age 8 and I am married
to Dina
